The Putney Selectboard voted unanimously on April 29 to support the Equity & Inclusion Advisory Committee's plan to host a community forum with the Windham County Sheriff's Office on fair and impartial policing standards as they relate to immigration enforcement. Eileen Willingham read committee statements endorsing Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month, Older Americans Month and Inclusion Week; Corin "Swift Everdy" Kennedy-Spielman described coalition-building efforts and the planned June forum.
Committee members also announced a community supper scheduled for May 8. The Selectboard motion to support the EIAC's efforts was made by Peg Alden and seconded by Rebecca "Bex" Slattery; the minutes record unanimous approval.
