The Putney Selectboard reorganized leadership at its March 4 meeting, electing Eric McGowan as chair and Peg Alden as vice-chair. "Aileen Tulloch nominated Eric McGowan as Selectboard Chair and Rebecca 'Bex' Slattery seconded. Motion passed," the minutes state. Aileen Tulloch later moved to amend the Rules of Procedure to remove the Clerk role and allow the chair to sign minutes; Rebecca "Bex" Slattery seconded and the motion passed.
The board also formally set its regular meeting cadence and procedures as part of the reorganization. The amended Rules of Procedure (dated Dec. 10, 2025) will reflect the change in signature authority; the board approved meeting times of every other Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. beginning March 4, 2026, at Putney Town Hall and online via Zoom. The change removes a distinct Clerk position from the board's internal roles and assigns certain recording-signature duties to the chair.
