Council approves two $20,000 small‑business grants as program hits $1 million in awards

Both grant agreements were moved and seconded and approved by voice vote. The commission framed the grants as part of a long-running small-business-support program that the city says has generated a greater than three-to-one private-sector return on investment. Councilors did not attach additional conditions at the meeting; implementation and any associated development agreements will be handled by city staff per program rules.
