The committee voted to recommend that the board accept the lowest responsive bidders for HVAC supplies and equipment for the 2026–27 period. Staff said vendors and many prices mirrored last year’s contracts, though a few items showed modest increases.
One committee member who reviewed the pricing said, “I went through most of the pricing, and it looks like the prices are about the same as last year as well. Some of them are a little higher, obviously, but some of them remain the same.” The motion was moved and seconded and recorded as approved with no objections.
Staff noted these awards followed re-advertising of maintenance contracts earlier in the year and that the recommended vendors had met specifications. The committee directed that any significant changes to major projects be reported back prior to advertising bids for construction work.
