The Waukesha City Finance Committee approved a one-year contract renewal with All City Management Inc. for school crossing guard services for the 2025–26 school year at 17 locations for a total contract value of $188,802.
Tony briefed the committee that the contract represents roughly a 4% increase from the previous year: "for a total of $188,802 it's about a 4% increase from, this last school year." Committee members noted the operational benefit of using contracted crossing guards rather than assigning police officers to posts. As the Chair put it, "we'd rather have police officers doing police officer things and not crossing guard things." Alderson Molson and other members spoke in support, citing constituent concerns about pedestrian safety at school crossings.
The Chair moved approval and the motion passed by unanimous voice vote. Staff and the vendor will proceed under the renewed contract for the upcoming school year; Tony said staff will continue discussions with the school district about possible cost-sharing.
