The Plan Commission approved a minor site plan and architectural review for Las Casuellos at 818 West Saint Paul Avenue that includes a new concrete patio, an ADA ramp and interior improvements. Staff noted the applicant requests an exception to the code-required 18 parking stalls and instead proposed 11 stalls; staff recommended approval with conditions to install bollards/planters, add landscaping and re-stripe parking prior to occupancy.
Andrew Borgstrom, who said he was a long-time Waukesha resident and owner of the adjacent properties, told the commission he expects to provide a couple of extra parking spaces if needed and described plans to restore foundation plantings and add amenities for pedestrians. "We can give a couple extra spaces if needed," Borgstrom said. The commission approved the minor site plan subject to the listed staff conditions and required sign permits.
