The Plan Commission unanimously approved a final site plan and architectural review allowing a 14,000-square-foot rooftop addition at Waukesha Memorial Hospital, 725 American Avenue, to accommodate expanded surgical-support spaces and related interior renovations. Staff (Doug) said the addition is largely on the roof, will not change the hospital's ground footprint and will be mostly hidden except at one southeast corner visible from Dopp and Mountain avenues.
"They're going to mimic the same way they did it on those [other additions]," Doug said while presenting renderings showing brick infill where about 14 windows will be closed and new rooftop air-handling units painted to match existing units. The commission approved the plan subject to addressing engineering-department comments; the Chair moved and the motion passed by voice vote.
