The Plan Commission voted to table a request for a conditional-use permit to operate a trailer-rental business at Total Lehi Gym, 400 Southwest Avenue, and asked staff to bring the record of the original conditional use before the commission at its next meeting. Robin (staff) told the commission the proposal would limit on-site trailers to 25, require semi-trailers to be removed by Aug. 1, 2025, prohibit on-site sales and require trailers be parked in designated spaces.
Commissioner Montiel described the current condition at the site as problematic, saying, "It's been politely a disaster," and urged specific, enforceable cleanup steps before approving additional uses. Several commissioners asked staff to locate and present the earlier permit and associated conditions; the Chair moved to table the new CUP to allow that review and to request that the applicant attend the next meeting. The motion to table was seconded and approved by voice vote.
