The Regional School District No. 20 Strategic Planning Committee met May 12, 2026, at Lakeview High School and by teleconference to review four draft Board goals and refine measures of success. Chair Kara Cruoglio called the meeting to order at 6:01 p.m.; the meeting adjourned at 7:22 p.m.
Committee members made minor edits to Goals 1 and 2, which the minutes identify as Programming/Curriculum & Instruction and a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS). The committee, joined by Superintendent Jeffrey Villar, Ph.D., then discussed and edited Goals 3 and 4, described in the minutes as Climate, Culture, and Family & Community Engagement and Operational Efficiency & Long-Term Fiscal Sustainability, to clarify intended outcomes and metrics. Assistant Superintendent Julie Haggard and Chief Financial Officer Julia Cardillo were present for the discussion.
Members told the superintendent they were comfortable with the four draft goals as a whole and were instructed to send any remaining suggestions to Dr. Villar. The Committee scheduled a final review in late May or early June before advancing the goals to the full Board of Education.
