Board members discussed including Gio Field batting cages among projects to seek Community Preservation Committee (CPC) funding in the next round. Park Director Kevin Chrisom and Chair Robert Levash reviewed when design work could begin and when the project might go out to bid. No formal funding request was approved at the March 5 meeting.
Commissioner Carolyn Cahill asked whether the board could improve how CPC projects are publicized and whether completed projects could be displayed on the parks website. Bonnie Devore, principal clerk, said she would work on adding completed projects to the department's website to increase transparency and public awareness.
