Police Chief Rick Florence told the board that tasers were donated to the department and that the department will purchase pepper balls from a different company. Chief Florence also raised the question of a long-term plan to upgrade police vehicles.
Trustee Asher moved and Trustee Kelly seconded a motion to approve up to $1,800 for taser battery chargers; the motion carried on a roll-call vote with Trustees Kelly, Asher, Kaus, Babiarz and Mayor Jordan Cable voting yes.
