District launches local accountability dashboard and outlines professional learning plans

Miss Carver (S6) told the board the district’s local accountability dashboard went live July 1 and was cocreated with staff, students, families and communities to guide academic, social and emotional growth. "We have finalized as a district our instructional visions for math, literacy, and science in the district," she said, describing the visions as a "North Star" that will shape instruction and teacher supports.
Carver also described expanded professional learning this year, coaching visits and in-classroom support from experts for reading (EL/EL reading and Odell) and math, plus planned teacher release days for grade-level math collaboration. She invited board members to the district leadership retreat and the Aug. 3 conference center opening where a Leader in Me keynote and districtwide staff training will begin on Aug. 4.
