Commission continues edits to subdivision regulations; agrees to add boundary-line-adjustment section

On Sept. 9 the Sharon Planning Commission continued detailed editing of the subdivision regulations (draft dated 5/27/25), focusing on enforcement language and exemptions.
Chair John Roe and other commissioners discussed the terminology used in enforcement provisions. John said he was concerned that the word "panel" could be confusing to readers, while Andrew Cliburn said he preferred the word "panel" to remain consistent with state law but that replacing it with "municipal bodies" would be acceptable. Commissioners read aloud and agreed to a revised notice-and-remedy paragraph that includes a seven-day remedy window and agreed to remove the third exemption under Section 105 in favor of creating a distinct boundary-line-adjustment section for clarity.
The Commission agreed to continue drafting the new boundary-line-adjustment section at the next meeting and to make formatting edits to the permit application form to improve clarity. John moved to adjourn at 8:40 PM; Paul Kristensen seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
