Children's museum reports recurring roof leaks after heavy storms; electrical fixture damaged

A representative told the DDA that heavy storms can produce "a waterfall" inside the building and that the most recent incident allowed water to enter a light fixture in the women's bathroom; that fixture will need replacement and electricity to the area has been turned off as a precaution.
The representative said roof inspectors and contractors have looked for the source but have not found a definitive entry point; the problem appears intermittent and weather-dependent. "I've never seen, like I said. It was like a horror film being in a horror film," the speaker said describing the first incident. Board members were told there will likely be repair costs when the leak source is found.
