District finance and operations staff said facility rental income is minimal and recommended the board seek fair, cost‑neutral rates. John Hassell reported a review of neighboring districts found generally consistent pricing; Superintendent Pete Peterson said rental revenue was "slim to none" and that rates should be revised to at least cover costs.
Superintendent Peterson also updated the board on operational safety: the district is conducting additional water testing after reports of varmints, and the front entrance to the elementary and middle schools will be closed starting Feb. 9 from 7:30':30 and again from 2:00':00 while staff implement a safer drop-off arrangement after a staff member was struck and there was a near miss.
