Superintendent Pete Peterson told the board that Policy 1210 (Annual Organizational Meeting) and Policy 1220 (Board Officers and Duties) need to be aligned. He proposed standardizing the schedule so that all officer elections occur at the first meeting in December and said he would draft and bring policy revisions to the next board meeting.
Directors did not record extended debate on the proposal during the Nov. 24 session. The superintendent indicated the suggested timing and revised language would be presented for formal consideration at a future meeting, giving directors time to review changes before any vote.
