The Kiona‑Benton City School District board voted 3–0 on Nov. 24 to appoint Danielle Harvey to Position 1, filling a board vacancy. Director Teddy Bryan moved to appoint Harvey and Director Gina Warner seconded; Director Dan Raap was recorded absent for the vote.
Board Chair Josh Skipper said Harvey had been interviewed before the meeting and expressed his support for her appointment. Superintendent Pete Peterson administered the Oath of Office to Harvey immediately after the motion passed. The action was taken during the district's regular board meeting, which convened at 6:30 p.m. in the district board room and via Zoom.
The appointment completes the board’s vacancy for Position 1 until the next scheduled election or formal replacement process. The board did not record additional debate or public comment on the appointment during the meeting.
