Student support staff report full ECEAP enrollment, pantry partnerships and training

District Student Support Services reported ECEAP is fully enrolled; bus-driver GAP training went well, BCSO and district will exchange trainings, and Heather’s Pantry continues under partner support (Northwest Harvest, Ag West, local donors).
Mr. Castillo, representing Student Support Services, told the board that ECEAP is "fully enrolled" and that bus-driver GAP training held in August "went very well" with positive staff attitudes. He said Benton County Sheriff’s Office invited district staff to a December training and the district will invite BCSO to the district’s winter training.
Castillo also summarized food-resource partnerships: Heather’s Pantry operates with support from Northwest Harvest at the elementary school, Ag West covering the middle school, and local donations supporting the high school. Castillo said staff were offered about 24 clock hours during professional development week in August and he will coordinate first-Wednesday-of-the-month time with principals.
