Commission hears scheduling update; Lumpkin's Jail and Shaco Streets await Public Art Commission review

Staff told the commission that a rear monument case was continued to Aug. 4; the Lumpkin's Jail/Shaco pavilion and Shaco Streets items will return only if the Public Art Commission meets and reviews them.
Staff (Clerk, S2) told the commission there was no council action update because the city council had not met since the last commission meeting. Staff said a rear monument case had been continued to the August 4 meeting and noted that the Lumpkin's Jail pavilion (Shaco campus) and the Shaco Streets project still require Public Art Commission review; if the Public Art Commission does not meet, those items will be continued again.
Chair (S1) and staff confirmed that the August 4 meeting would be a short meeting and that the next meeting in August would be the long meeting. Staff cautioned that scheduling for the Lumpkin's Jail/Shaco items depends on the Public Art Commission’s calendar, so those items may not appear on Aug. 4 if that commission does not convene.
