Sioux Rapids raises annual contribution to Iowa Lakes Corridor to $5,000

The Sioux Rapids City Council voted on Jan. 14 to increase its annual contribution to Iowa Lakes Corridor to $5,000 for fiscal year 2027. Council member Lacy Garberding moved to raise the city’s funding from $1,000 to $5,000; the motion was seconded by Kevin Thompson and passed with all present voting aye.
Garberding said the increase reflected the Corridor’s assistance to the community and its continued engagement with Sioux Rapids. The funding decision will be reflected in the city’s upcoming budget work sessions.
