He said town testing during the recent events “came back that the water was safe to drink,” but the town kept the precautionary alert in place for part of the system while it continued monitoring. He also reported improvements in tank levels, saying the town’s main tank was at roughly 20 feet of a 38‑foot capacity and staff were optimistic about meeting peak usage.
