"We could cut that [contractor line item] in half by purchasing this truck," staff said, noting partial grant funding from TCEQ for older vehicles will offset some replacement costs. Council members discussed life-span calculations and whether growing fund balances necessitate adjusting future transfers to the fleet fund.
