Staff reported a Development Corporation tenant moved out without notice and left an outstanding balance of $1,547.69 and asked the board to charge off the account. "She moved out with no notice and owes us $1,547.69," Miss Pope said. A motion to charge off the balance was made, seconded and approved by voice vote.
Staff clarified the Development Corporation is not under HUD reporting requirements for ELOC/EIB, so the charge-off will not be entered into HUD's exchange but will be recorded on the authority's internal spreadsheet. Staff noted the recorded debt would prevent rehousing through the authority unless the balance is paid.
