Town Manager Jessica Cyr told the Select Board that the town’s MailChimp service was likely deleted without warning and that staff are currently unable to access account information.
"Our MailChimp service was likely deleted without any warning, and the last sent notice appears to have been in November," Cyr said. She added that the service’s free-send thresholds have changed and the town believes it may have exceeded the 250-notices-per-month limit; staff are exploring alternative ways to provide free or low-cost email blasts to residents.
No formal action was taken during the meeting. Staff will continue investigating account recovery options and alternatives for community email distribution.
