Chair Bruce Glowac said he will work with the police and consultant Jacunski and Humes to finalize renovation plans for the existing police department at 29 West Avenue. Finance Director Tracey Celentano said the overall bond request remains $10 million and committee members discussed scheduling a referendum on September 29 (12 p.m.–8 p.m.).
First Selectman Norman Needleman suggested setting an informational public hearing on September 16 and recommended placing that hearing on the August 5 Board of Selectmen meeting agenda for public notice. The committee did not record a formal vote to set the referendum date at this meeting; members discussed the proposed schedule as part of preparing voter information and timelines for bond approval.
