Ferry Street sidewalk relocation and mid-street crosswalk under review, draft sent to DOT

Town Engineer Bob Doane reported on a meeting with Gregory Paul regarding Ferry Street pedestrian improvements. Doane said they discussed relocating the sidewalk to the opposite side of the street and placing a crosswalk in the middle of Ferry Street. He said he will send the draft plan to the DOT Traffic Engineer for review.
The committee did not vote on the sidewalk plan but recorded staff action to forward the draft to state traffic engineers for technical input before advancing design or budgeting.
