The City Commission adopted a package of annexation ordinances at its Oct. 28 meeting. Senior Planner Nathan summarized voluntary annexation requests and recommended approval following unanimous (5–0) Planning & Zoning Board recommendations. For 125 Jungle Road (about 0.45 acres), the commission adopted Ordinances 66-25 (annexation), 67-25 (comprehensive-plan amendment to city medium-density residential) and 68-25 (rezoning to R-2 single-family with airport-height-notification overlay).
The commission then approved a larger annexation at 824 Ingram Road (about 12.9 acres) through Ordinances 69-25, 70-25 and 71-25 (changing future land use to city low-density residential and rezoning to R-2A). Finally, the commission adopted ordinances 72-25, 73-25 and 74-25 to annex about 2.7 acres at 736 Luella Street and convert county designations to city A-3 transitional-agriculture zoning with an airport overlay. Each set of ordinances carried on roll-call votes after staff presentations and the commission closed public hearings with no speakers. The actions reconfigure municipal boundaries and land-use designations for the parcels described on the record.
