Town Manager Jessica Cyr and Land Use Coordinator Robin Irving said they listened to a Congressional Direct Spending call for 2027 funding and that the town must decide whether to apply. Robin Irving noted that applicants will need recommendation letters and commitments for the required local match at the time of award, and she outlined big-ticket projects that could require matching funds.
The board discussed potential projects and singled out replacing the McGary Hill Road bridge with a box culvert as one option that may qualify as shovel-ready. Ms. Irving said she will begin lining up recommendation letters and working on identifying matches if the Select Board opts to apply.
