Police Chief Jon Woodworth reported department statistics, said three applicants passed the physical-ability test and an interview board is scheduled for Feb. 25, 2026. He also told the Select Board he has applied for a grant to replace aging MDTs (mobile data terminals) with an estimated town match of about $9,000 if the grant is awarded under an 80/20 funding split; printers would be covered completely by the grant.
Chief Woodworth added the department requested additional overtime patrol funding and is working with AMDG Consulting to update policies to CALEA standards. He also noted the station furnace is aging and parts are no longer supplied for that model, so replacement will be needed in the near future.
