The Community Redevelopment Agency approved an extension for Delegel LTD's large-scale commercial facade project at 1311 North Dixie Freeway after staff said the redevelopment had encountered design and permitting delays. Sam Bergeron explained the owners had worked through multiple architects, permits were submitted in February 2025 and most permits were approved in April 2025, though final inspections for stairs, an ADA lift and elevator remained outstanding.
Bergeron said the owners were close to receiving the remaining certificates of occupancy and requested more time to complete parking-lot improvements and fencing per the agreement. "They are very close to having those two final COs," Bergeron said. Member McGurk praised the property's turnaround and the board voted to grant the extension.
