The Carlin City Council unanimously approved the appointment of Tim Storey to the city's Planning Commission during its Jan. 22 meeting.
Mayor Dana Holbrook and Vice Mayor Cameron Kinney said they had reviewed the candidate and that current Planning Commission members welcomed Storey’s involvement. Kinney told the council he had attended the Planning Commission meeting and reported no objections. The motion to appoint was moved by Kinney and seconded by Lyndsie Whigham; the council voted in favor.
Mayor Holbrook said the council expected Storey to contribute to future land-use discussions and planning work in Carlin.
