The Carlin City Council voted unanimously on Nov. 18 to canvas and declare the results of the Nov. 5, 2024 general election. Mayor Dana Holbrook told the council he had reviewed vote counts provided by the county clerk and reported he “found no discrepancies or signs of fraud.”

Councilperson Denise Taylor moved to approve the canvas; Vice Mayor Margaret Johnston seconded. Mayor Holbrook called the vote, and the council “voted unanimously in favor, with all members approving.” The meeting record lists five council members present and the motion as passed.
