Erin Jospe spoke to a $5,000 petition from the Lakes Region Visiting Nurse Association to support partnership work with the Tamworth Community Nurse Association and to expand home-based and hospice services. Jospe said LRVNA provided 405 in-home visits, including care to 15 Tamworth residents, and described services ranging from skilled hospice nursing to bereavement and chaplain services.
Jospe noted some services are limited by insurance coverage to homebound patients but argued home-based care produces better outcomes at lower cost. The Select Board heard the presentation; formal funding action was deferred to the Feb. 10 budget hearing.
