District finance staff reported the budget is tracking positively and the audit was completed on time with no missing items, and the auditors will present their findings at the February board meeting.
Wendy, the finance presenter, told the board: “we're still looking good, revenue over expenditures of 1,200,000 right now,” noting the district is just under 50% expended at mid‑year and that payroll and associated costs represent roughly 80.4% of spending. Board members discussed fund balance monitoring and how preschool‑promise funds offset administrative costs.
Wendy said the audit was submitted on time with no missing payments; the board requested auditors appear at the February meeting to present findings and answer questions. Staff forecast an estimated year‑end fund balance around $600,000, above where the district started the year.
