The planning commission opened with a short leadership reorganization after the chair’s recent resignation. The vice chair told the commission the first order of business was electing a new chair and vice chair; Commissioner (speaker 6) moved to elect Mr. Ridley to serve as chair and Ms. Moreland as vice chair, and another commissioner seconded the motion. The chair called for a voice vote and the motion carried; the body then confirmed it had a quorum.
The commission handled the leadership change as a procedural matter before taking up public hearings and planning items. The vice chair noted she will be moving at the end of the month and that the new leadership will take over future meeting procedures. No roll-call vote was recorded; the body adopted the motion by common practice voice vote and the chair congratulated the newly elected members. (Provenance: transcript SEG 001 → SEG 096.)
