The council approved a $682,822 contract award to Red Pine Construction for the 2026 Nebo Heights sewer rehabilitation project.
City staff recommended sewer lining technology to replace deteriorating pipes while minimizing invasive excavation in residents’ backyards. Four bids were received and Red Pine was the low bidder. Councilor JD Parady moved to award the contract; Councilor Shari Cowan seconded the motion, which passed unanimously 4-0 by those present.
The project scope as presented focuses on lining existing sewer mains to extend service life and reduce disturbance to private property. The administration did not provide a construction start date in the June 2 minutes; staff will follow up with schedule and permitting details as the award moves to the contracting phase.
