Council to form work group on attendance and agenda planning

The council chair announced formation of a work group to review attendance expectations for council meetings, how and when to invite ex officio members, and the structure of future agendas. The chair said the goal is to provide enough time for agency directors to present and to allow members to ask substantive questions.
"We're going to form a work group to talk about sort of attendance… what do we want to do about inviting ex officio members to join us," the chair said, asking members to volunteer for agenda planning. Several members offered to participate and staff said they would be in touch to set schedules. The chair noted disappointment that there was not time to ask agency directors questions during the current meeting and proposed the work group as a procedural fix.
