Dune City councilors take oath as new term begins

The Dune City Council opened its Jan. 8 meeting with ceremonial oaths for newly seated members and a pledge of allegiance, then completed roll call.
Chris Clemons took the oath and said, "I, Chris Clemons," while another member, Larry Farnsworth, also recited the oath by name. The council then gathered for photos and the chair invited members to be seated before moving to the regular agenda.
Council members welcomed returning and new colleagues and discussed scheduling and committee work for the coming weeks. The chair noted the council had a "complete council" for the evening and confirmed upcoming meeting dates and the Jan. 22 agenda item that will include a presentation by the watermaster.
