A council member summarized three matters discussed in executive session before the public meeting resumed: a litigation update concerning a solid-waste agreement; an interface issue between charter sections 602 and 801; and the need to stabilize town operations beyond tonight's budget adoption.
The council member noted: "Fortunately, the interim town manager, Wade Schaeffer, has helped to stabilize. He has indicated to the council that he will continue to serve until his successor is found. But we need to get underway with the search process." The member said the council will move on to the search after the budget adoption.
