Fiscal officer Chris Page asked the council to approve the payment register and presented the June financial reconciliation. He reported monthly receipts of $311,545.13 and expenditures of $355,938.78; interest earned for the month was $15,006.37. Page reported a reconciled balance (as read to the council) and provided year-to-date revenue and expenditure figures.
Page also said the State Department of Taxation approved an exemption of the water-plant property from real-property tax, a development he presented as completed at the office level. The council moved to approve the check register and recorded affirmative votes.
"We are reconciled for the month of June. In the month, we received $311,545.13. We expended $355,938.78," Page said. "Our interest earned for the month was $15,006.37." Council approved the payment register following the fiscal officer's request.
