The board voted to adopt the 2025–26 school calendar, preserving a four‑day instructional week for most of the year and keeping traditional breaks; the motion was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
Crystal, the district business manager, told the board that feedback from families favored four full days over half‑days and said the schedule allows better in-service training and consistent 'bookends' from Labor Day through mid‑June. "Feedback from parents specifically, we had some words about, you know, arranging child care if needed and... they actually much prefer 4 full days," Crystal said. The calendar keeps Thanksgiving week as a three-day week and keeps work days and staff in-service timing consistent with district practice.
