Authority alerted to roadway failure on McCormick Road; staff flags potential emergency permit with DEP

A committee member raised a report of a new failure in the 1100 block of McCormick Road, saying cones were placed and the pavement had visible collapse beneath it. "There's a a failure occurring on McCormick Road ... 1100 Block," the member said.
Staff responded that a pipe may have collapsed in the area and that township public works is developing a plan to address it. The staff member said, "Potentially, it's an emergency permit for sure because it's a it's an outfall to the yellow breaches and our provisions to get an expedited permit which we still have to follow-up with a full scale permit application for approval by DEP." The staff member added that some engineering will be required to make sure the replacement pipe is the proper size. The authority directed staff to proceed with assessment and permitting as needed.
