Board approves moving forward on vacating Old Hollow Road to allow Daybreak Church stormwater basin

Township staff described a proposed vacation of an approximately 12,113‑square‑foot paper right‑of‑way of Old Hollow Road that lies through property owned by Daybreak Church. Staff said the strip is unpaved, not used for vehicular passage, and is the planned location for a stormwater retention basin needed as part of the church's parking expansion. "It's the section right from about here down to Route 15...and this has been unpaved for 25, 30 years or more," staff said.
A commissioner moved to approve the request to vacate the right‑of‑way and to authorize township staff and the solicitor to prepare and file the necessary documentation with the Cumberland County Recorder of Deeds after the required 30‑day period; the motion noted that, after disposition of any exceptions, the board would consider an ordinance to vacate the right‑of‑way. The board voted in favor and the staff will proceed with the filing and notice requirements.
