Dufur SD 29 approves multiple hires and a classified-to-certified transfer

"...the hiring panel as well as myself recommended the hire of Diana Zelaznik for our 6th through 12th STEM teacher," Fleetley said.
The board moved and approved the presented hires; George Peterson, a longtime educational assistant, will be transferred to a certificated position after completing license transfer requirements from Alaska to Oregon and other contingencies. Members emphasized aligning teacher assignments with subject endorsements and asked staff to ensure new hires hold or obtain appropriate Oregon credentials before classroom assignments.
