The committee also discussed House Bill 3645, which the Chair characterized as a proposal to provide five weeks of paid parental leave and cautioned that it could create additional financial obligations for the district. Members asked for fiscal impact information and said they will discuss positions once staff returns with cost estimates and legal context.
