City Clerk Laurie Cassell informed the council that two grants are pending to support the city’s records-management project: an Association of Washington Cities (AWC) Loss Prevention grant and a Washington State Archives Division grant. Cassell said outcomes are expected in May and mid‑June; the grants would be applied to the current records-management effort if awarded.
Cassell also reported that she attended the annual Washington Municipal Clerks Association conference in Blaine. The workshop record lists the grant applications as pending and does not record award amounts or final decisions.
