The Frederick County Board of Zoning Appeals convened at 7:00 PM on June 25, 2026. Member John Greenwell moved to approve the May 28, 2026 meeting minutes and Vice Chairperson Jack Felton seconded; the Board approved the minutes 5-0-0. The Board then considered two case items: a variance (B-26-11, ADTEK Engineers) and a special exception (B-26-12, Sampson).
For B-26-11 the Board voted 5-0 to allow construction of a parking area and memorial garden on a 0.29-acre (12,719 sf) lot at 9 E. North Alley in New Market, a variance from the R1 minimum lot size of 40,000 sf. For B-26-12 the Board voted 5-0 to grant a special exception for a 154-foot communications monopole and a 50 ft x 50 ft equipment compound at 12608 Fingerboard Road in Monrovia. Chairperson Dan Lawton adjourned the meeting at 7:35 PM.
