Barren County Fiscal Court approves June reports, audit bill and multiple vendor invoices

Barren County Fiscal Court approved the county monthly financial report for June 2026, the quarterly report ending June 30, 2026, and the treasurer's annual settlement for the fiscal year ending Feb. 2026, all subject to audit, the court said.
The court also approved a range of invoices and contracts: the final audit invoice from Carr, Riggs, Riggs & Ingram for $10,000; Norris Tactical training for $10,040; Thomas Oil fuel invoices totaling $14,045.25; Government Utilities Technology services $14,595; Kentucky League of Cities insurance for the drug task force $20,292.12; Aramark inmate food services $26,744.97; and Comprehensive Correctional Care medical services for inmates $34,841.16. Each item was moved, seconded and carried on voice votes or motions as recorded on the meeting floor.
County staff also approved payment of claims, transfers of funds, and personnel actions as presented. The chair noted the audit and financial motions were routine steps to keep the county operations current and emphasized that many items were approved subject to audit.
