At the hearing Andrew Brotman described the proposed administrative remediation: two native 2-inch caliper trees and three native shrubs placed on the woods edge to compensate for the removed vegetation, plus silt fencing and pre/post construction inspections if additional maintenance is undertaken. Waldine Guillier, the homeowner, told the commission she would comply and asked staff to inspect photos she submitted to confirm whether regrowth made replacement plantings unnecessary.
Commissioners voted to resolve IWV-2026-09 administratively with a remediation plan and set a target date for completion and inspection; staff will confirm plantings, waive planting if existing vegetation has naturally regrown sufficiently, and follow up on compliance.
