DOTD schedules Cushing Avenue bid for Jan. 2027; local punch-list work remains

City Engineer Matt Hanson told the council DOTD scheduled a bid date for the Cushing Avenue revitalization project for January 2027 and that construction was likely to begin in 2027. Hanson said phase design work and surveys are under way for later phases.
The council also discussed local street-improvement Phase 2B, where contractors have completed drainage work and are finishing punch-list items. Council members noted cracks on a small number of newly paved roads and asked staff to follow up with contractors to correct those defects.
"DOTD scheduled a bid date for January 2027," the engineer said, adding that construction would start during the second quarter of 2027 and design work for later phases was beginning.
